Do Introverts Melt Under Stage Lights?

I bounced out of St. Petersburg this morning (the one in Florida, not Russia) after spending the last few days there for my first-ever CopyChief Live.

HOT DAMN.

Hot on so many levels. Hot AF outside, obvi, but the real heat went down inside the hotel.

Todd Herman talked about developing an alter ego to keep your mental game tight. Laura Belgray got into why being yourself is actually a baller move in business. James Schramko taught some awesome strategies to grow your business without having to work more.

And then I got to speak!

I thought I was going to hate every minute of being on stage (ya know, #introvertlife)…

But I loved it.

It was so exciting to be able to teach about the power of books to transform a business, and to share with so many eager writers how they can put that puppy to use for years to come.

Speaking’s gonna be my new jam, methinks.

And it’s no coincidence it went so well. CopyChief’s tagline is Nobody Writes Alone.

That is a philosophy I want to live and work by every day. It’s an amazing, supportive community and Kevin Rogers and his team have done an awesome job facilitating such a cool space.

There was so much transparent, powerful content shared, so many burning questions answered and a hell of a lot of fun into the mix.

I really believe that nobody should write alone.

It’s hard work, lonely, and the words turn out so much better when you can have other eyes on them. Just as importantly, no one should run their business alone.

That’s why Rachel and I have opened up the Business of Writing Podcast Mastermind. If you want to join, let me know in the comments and I’ll add a link.

In this group you’ll learn from successful writers and collaborate with fellow freelancers to learn how to make words work for you.

This is a place to hone your writing skills, master the art of finding and getting clients, and learn how to grow and scale your business as a writer.

We’ll be going deep into the art and science of great writing, the business acumen you need to make your business thrive, and writers of all kinds will share hard-earned insights you won’t get anywhere else.

So if you’re writing, don’t do it alone. Join us and get in on that hot hot heat.
